Dr. Patricia Sierra is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She was born and raised in Honduras and graduated with honors from Medical School at the National University of Honduras. She initiated her ophthalmic career participating in research at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Eye and Ear Institute of Pittsburgh. Dr. Sierra later pursued a cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgery fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants and the Phillips Eye Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sierra then relocated to California and currently practices at Sacramento Eye Consultants<\/a>. She has particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external diseases, complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and refractive surgery. She is the author of multiple publications and book chapters. She is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Society. Dr. Sierra enjoys traveling back to her home country to teach young ophthalmologists and residents and also to perform surgery on those in greatest need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sierra serves as the Wellness Committee Chair and as a Director of Sutter Independent Physicians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
